Evening Flight
Of Geese
Evening flight of geese from feeding grounds to their roost on the river. This is quite a daily spectacle with 7,000 to 10,000 geese roosting on a 4 mile stretch of river.

Our geese normally leave the river for a morning feed and then return late morning for a siesta and then go for a late afternoon feed before retuning to the river roost.
Another afternoon flight. Most of our geese show up after sandhill’s lakes start to freeze up and stay all Winter long providing us a long season with lots of birds.

The first week of December brings a big Winter storm front. All the geese showed up at once and stayed the rest of the Winter. Poor video quality, but the numbers are incredible!

Our marsh and wetlands complex is home to nesting trumpeter swans and provides a Wintering area for more local and migrating swans. Our warm water springs provide a sanctuary with open water areas to to allow for feeding and roosting.
