HUNTING

In years past we have decoyed: Mallard, Blue Wing Teal, Green Wing Teal, Wood Duck, Redheads, Buffleheads, Canada Geese, Pintail, Wigeon, Gadwall, and many diving river ducks. Our duck blinds are heated. We watch flight and landing patterns and relocate the blinds as needed. Our field hunts are in heated portable frame blinds that are well hidden in the spread. This area holds an incredible amount of Canada Geese during late season. The geese fly over the lodge twice a day between the fields and river. This is an incredible spectacle whether you are holding a gun or a camera!

The Lone Goose waterfowl property includes lodging 10 minutes from the spread and shuttle service to and from the blinds/hides. There are multiple locations with hunting opportunities on two miles of river and 40 acres of marsh that hold an incredible amount of waterfowl. These hunts are fully guided with dogs, with the guide setting up the entire spread and calling – you just show up and shoot! Space is very limited to keep this property full of birds.
